A San Francisco woman who questioned a man writing “Black Lives Matter” on his own home has apologised for assuming he did not live there and calling the police on him.

“I want to apologise directly to Mr Juanillo,” Ms Alexander said in a statement. “There are not enough words to describe how truly sorry I am for being disrespectful to him last Tuesday when I made the decision to question him about what he was doing in front of his home. I should have minded my own business.”

Woman apologizes after backlash from confronting homeowner

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The CEO of a cosmetics company issued an apology Sunday after a video was widely shared online showing her and her husband confronting a man and threatening to call police because he stenciled “Black Lives Matter” in chalk on his San Francisco property.

The video, which has been retweeted 155,000 times, has sparked accusations of racism and led a cosmetics distributor to cut ties with Lisa Alexander, founder and CEO of LaFace Skincare.

Jeffree Star Dumped by Morphe Cosmetics Amid Mounting Criticism of the Makeup Mogul

Morphe Cosmetics has severed ties with beauty influencer Jeffree Star.

The makeup brand announced on Friday that they will be professionally parting ways with the YouTube star, 34, saying in a statement: “Today we’ve made the decision to cease all commercial activity related to Jeffree Star and affiliated products.”

“We expect this to conclude within the coming weeks,” the statement continued. “As we look to the future, we will continue to share updates on what lies ahead for the Morphe brand.”

Star’s personal beauty brand, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, responded to the announcement with a statement of its own, reading: “We are shocked and extremely saddened by the decision of our former retail partner Morphe Brushes on parting ways with our brand and Jeffree.”
