Here it is the palm Pixi pictured as a GSM version apparently in Vietnam. This version is a bit more stripped down than the CDMA version that the US is getting which is not good news at all. For one the GSM Pixi has only 4GB of internal storage whereas the US version has 8GB.
Apparently the Youtube video of this handset shows a Wi-Fi icon but no Wi-Fi option in the drop-down menu which only further confuses anyone. This device must be a pre-production unit where all the bugs have yet to be worked out.
PreCentral also received word that this particular handset is “a ridiculously old prototype.” Though this is a prototype we are certainly happy to see something new. Lets hope for some real news about the Palm Pixi really soon.
