600 block of Sackman Street – A man said he noticed property belonging to his recently deceased wife missing from the residence, including jewelry, clothing, eye glasses and camera tablet.
Prospect Elementary, 485 Gilbert Ave. – A woman told officers she used a debit card to place a lunch order and left it on her desk. She said she didn’t think much about it until 4:15 p.m. she received a text alert of a card transaction regarding two charges. She canceled her card.
200 block of Mulberry Street – Officers arrested two people after being called to a residence on a well-being check of children. A man was given a felony warrant on possession of drugs and he was jailed. A woman was served a copy of her warrant. Richland County Children Services was called.
400 block of Davis Road – A woman reported telecommunications harassment and said her former boyfriend was calling her on the phone and following her to work and calling her work after he tested positive for drugs and she told him she no longer wants a relationship with him.
300 block of Central Avenue – Following a traffic stop, an 18-year-old man was issued a summons on possession of drugs, marijuana, and he was found to have an active warrant out of the Adult Parole Authority. He was issued a traffic citation and taken to jail.
Alpine Drive and Park Avenue West – A man running in and out of traffic on the busy roadway wearing slippers and not dressed warm for the cold temperature of 21 degrees was taken to a hospital. He was holding torn pages from a book saying it was “demonic” and it needs to be burned.
Muffler Wise, 180 Park Ave. E. – A victim found the front door of his business broken an his locking mailbox broken. Officers checked the business and found a man sleeping on a couch inside of a camper inside the business. The man said his feet were freezing after he had been working outside on a vehicle.
The 32-year-old man was nude from the waist down and had feces on his foot. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for possible frostbite. After being released from the hospital, he was taken to jail on charges of breaking and entering and vehicle trespass.
100 block of Buckingham Avenue – A man reported his Jennings .380-caliber firearm from his residence.
Blymyer Avenue – A 70-year-old woman said she received mail from Job and Family Services claiming she she claimed $945 from unemployment. She said she never filed for unemployment and has not worked for nearly 20 years.
100 block of Lind Avenue – A 29-year-old man who had used heroin was found unresponsive on the floor. Firefighters administered naloxone and the man became responsive. He was taken to a hospital.
Circle K, 30 E. Cook Road – Officers arrested a man who was loitering in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers saw the man open a door to a vehicle and sit in the passenger sat. The driver of the vehicle exited the store and yelled, “What are you doing in my car?” The 39-year-old man exited the vehicle and was detained. He was arrested and taken to jail.
