The always popular Full Tilt Online 꽁머니  Series continued yesterday with Event #8, a 6-max Knockout tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $600K. The buy-in for this event was $240 + $16, with $200 going to the prize pool and knockouts worth $40 each.

This exciting format drew 3,499 entries, paying out the top 390 finishers. The prize pool ended up at $699,800, exceeding the guarantee by a fair margin.

Event #8 was hosted by Full Tilt Pro Andrew Black, and drew an impressive lineup of the Full Tilt “red pros” including Allen Cunningham, Clonie Gowen, Scott Fischman, and Jon Turner, aka “PearlJammed”. Out of the 30 Full Tilt Pros that entered, only 5 finished in the money. Luis Velador was the best performer out of this group, finishing in 230th place.

In the end, it was Laurence Houghton, aka “whatariver1″ that outdueled Emansnrg heads up to take down the tournament and earn the 1st place payout of $137,153.80. Laurence has an impressive track record on Full Tilt, with a win in the $1K Monday for $91,750 in June of this year. He also has a win in the $100K guaranteed $109 rebuy for $34,200 this year.

FullTilt Poker’s Online Poker Series is back for its tenth installment.  The fourth event on the schedule was the $600,000 Guarantee, $300 buy-in, 1-rebuy+1-add-on event hosted by Full Tilt Pro Vitaly Lunkin.  815 of the world’s best tournament pros were on hand vying for the first place prize of $138,000.  FullTilt had 25 of their own pros playing, including former WSOP player of the year Allen Cunningham, multiple WSOP bracelet winner Scott Fischman, and many online phenoms include Isaac “Menlo” Baaron, Niki Jedlicka, and PearlJammer.  In the end there would be 558 rebuys purchased and 538 add-ons, generating only $573,300 in entry fees, forcing Full Tilt to pay out nearly $27,000 in overlay.  FlopTurnRiver Members JohnnyFish and McatDog played but were unable to cash.

The pro making the deepest run in tournament was Aaron Bartley, who made an incredible run. Falling just short, he finished in 3rd place for $64,500. Jeremiah Smith and Ali Sarkeshik also made the money, finishing 23rd and 72nd respectively.  Bartley would actually come into the final table with quite a chip-lead:

Aaron Bartley – 1,541,956

mightypirate – 470,585

Darren “darrenelias” Elias – 425,902

raidalot – 393,305

mrcall912 – 355,023

dbones6 – 326,688

Jeff “GrampaJeff” Gray – 223,319

djmanga – 189,674

Shakar513 – 164,548

However, after busting in 3rd, heads-up would come down to Jeff “GrampaJeff” Gray and “mightypirate”.  In the end it was Gray who would take the crown after winning a race with KJo against mightypirate’s 66.  This was by far and away Gray’s best lifetime cash, having won $17,000 in a tournament this past May.   Congratulations go to all who participated and cashed in FTOPS Event
